Dearly Beloved,

Picture
I am shaking my head with a smile on my face as I write these words.  The fact that God prepared Antioch Baptist Church, Matthews County, Susan, Virginia and me to be on this assignment together is an awesome responsibility and is made sweeter by the overflow of joy.  We believe whole-hardheartedly in God, in the Holy Spirit and Jesus of Nazareth who became the Christ for us.  Each person who serves the body, serves by gifting, calling, desire and appointment.
We believe God is in everything we are doing and behind it all.  It is because of our desire to serve one another and love for God that we have received  the power to love one another, hold one another accountable in love and experience life together - sickness, death, new beginnings, good times and challenging ones.

As the Pastor, I invite you to join us in Prayer and in Worship. In the winter we begin services with Sunday School, yes, Sunday School! Our Deacons lead our Prayer, Praise & Testimony Period between Sunday School and before morning worship which begins at 11:00 am.  We have a seat right in our midst for you. Come worship  God with us and be welcome!

We will make sermon excerpts available online to our members and friends so you can worship with us and keep up with what's going on at home. Our Media Ministry will have full sermons available if you choose to order them.  We hope the messages are helpful in your spiritual journey.

WE WOULD LOVE TO SEE YOU,

Rev. Dr.  MarQuita Carmichael Burton
